Showing better several months prior to bottling than it did last year, this wine has thrown off some of its more noticeable vegetal elements and is revealing a sweet black currant, herbaceous aroma with hints of earth, blue fruits, and some of the forest floor characteristics I often associate with this terroir. Dark ruby with some purple at the edge, the wine is medium-bodied, plump, with low acidity, ripe tannin, and very good to excellent concentration. It should be drinkable relatively early on and evolve nicely for 12-15 years.
