Tasted at the chateau, the 2006 has a well-defined, more floral bouquet than the 2000 with dark cherries, cassis, dark plum and just a slight tinny element in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins on the entry: dark cherry, pomegranate, raspberry and just a sprinkle of white pepper. Composed and forwards towards the finish, this is not as velvety as the 2006 but it has good tension and length. Tasted June 2011.
